Mit den hier folgenden Konjunktionen kann man sowohl Wörter, Wortgruppen als auch Sätze und Satzteile aneinanderreihen.

  21.2.1.1 and = und
The pullover is light and warm.
  Der Pullover ist leicht und warm.  
  He likes good books and music and he likes to walk in the rain.
  Er mag gute Bücher und Musik und er mag es, im Regen spazieren zu gehen.  
  Mary wrote a letter yesterday and Peter watched TV.
  Mary schrieb gestern einen Brief und Peter guckte fern.

  21.2.1.2 both and = sowohl als auch
This car is both fast and safe.
  Das Auto ist sowohl schnell als auch sicher.

  21.2.1.3 as well as = sowohl als auch
This apartment is quite in the center as well as it is cheap.
  Diese Wohnung ist sowohl ziemlich im Zentrum als auch billig.
  The vacation was well planned as well as well deserved.
  Der Urlaub war sowohl gut geplant als auch wohl verdient.  

  21.2.1.4 not only ... but (also) = nicht nur ..., sondern (auch)
The plane was not only two hours late, but also overbooked.
  Das Flugzeug war nicht nur zwei Stunden zu spät, sondern auch noch überbucht.
  The meeting was not only boring, but it was entirely useless.
  Das Meeting war nicht nur langweilig, sondern auch absolut nutzlos.  

  21.2.1.5 neither ... nor = weder ... noch
The novel was neither very interesting nor was it helpful in understanding the topic.
  Der Roman war weder interessant, noch war er hilfreich, um das Thema zu verstehen.
  The change of plans proved neither difficult nor expensive.
  Die Änderung der Pläne erwies sich weder als schwierig noch als teuer.

  21.2.1.6 nor / neither = auch nicht
The lake was not very clear nor was it very refreshing.
  Der See war nicht sehr klar, sehr erfrischend war er auch nicht.
  I didn't understand a word he said, neither did the others.
  Ich verstand kein Wort von dem, was er sagte, die anderen auch nicht.
